#WMATA FY25 budget proposal: After chiseling out $358 million in savings and absent added local funding, Metro would have to raise fares 20%, close 67 bus lines and 10 rail stations, extend rail headways by at least 17% and close the system at 10 p.m. nightly.
Meanwhile, D.C. and Virginia are seriously acting like they can compete to host the Wizards and the Capitals without paying for a fnctioning subway system?
(I'm fine with paying more, both in fares and taxes.)
