Spokesman Adorni announces that minister Caputo met with supermarket businessmen because prices had increased more than inflation warranted, as they were expecting a worse outcome instead of decelerating inflation.
Therefore, to increase supply and, hopefully, lower prices, the government has lifted import restrictions for basic goods.
That is, no tariffs, normal exchange rate on the USD and no other import tax (impuesto país).
