Grumpy Old Gen-xer Observation\
Those of us that remember life before mobile phones, can remember long periods of our day where we were completely incommunicado, disconnected from everyone.
The drive to and from work/school, sitting alone in my room, pretty much any outdoor activity. That time let our minds wander. It let us think, contemplate whatever, forced us to spend time exercising our imaginations.
Everyone today is terrified of being alone in their head.
