Last garden harvest
12 year living soil build
Sad to see it go 🥹
~
This will be my last time harvesting from this magical garden.
No joke over 2000 pounds of fruits and veg per year out of this small plot in my yard.
Its funny to me because I eat mostly carnivore. But I have a natural ability to keep plants not alive, but thrive.
Over the years I grew less and less tomatoes and more squash - adapting to what I actual liked eating ... and this year being able to make half my garden garlic, starting with only 12 cloves 5 years ago.
One of my cherished planting hacks I came up with is, in my region - the garlic harvest is mid July and so it lines up perfectly with near 18 hours of sunlight.... which turns out perfect for transplanting some well loved cannabis clones ready to explode.
Not an inch of soil was wasted. And the ironic part is that most of the yield ended up freeze dried.
I now have years of yield to take to my next destination while I establish a new plot of land.
I'm sad but happy to let go. Taking what i learned and running with it for next time.
Thanks to all my green-thumb friends whom share their gardens. I'll be sure to share my next creation.
