Why don't they teach sign language at school? It would be such a useful skill, to have another way to communicate.
Not only would deaf people be less isolated from conversations, but there are countless other uses, like being able to communicate in a noisy crowded room, or quietly over substantial distances.
Could even work as an alternative to subtitles for films. Kinda blows my mind how countries don't seem to do this.
