Remembering that the British media have been doing client journalism for the Tories and their billionaire class paymasters for years now I suspect part of the reverse is because he’s stopped being the useful idiot they could tolerate and now become a threat to be taken down a peg. He’s splitting the right wing vote and contributing to the wipeout of the Tories. You can’t expect the establishment to take that lying down.
