Had a great time at Bitcoin Prague. Some talks that really stood out:
First chat when I arrived was with adam3us (nprofile…d3yy) about quantum computing 🤯- reassuring to hear it’s not an immediate threat and mostly hype for fundraising right now.
Michael Jordan’s “Bitcoin Only Wins If…” really resonated. His point about actually USING Bitcoin instead of letting institutions change its purpose really hit home. We can’t rely on others to do what Bitcoin was meant to do. It has to each one of us.
jack mallers (nprofile…dgp0) was angry but rightfully so - his talk on morality was incredible and in my opinion the most powerful. Bitcoin isn’t just about money, it’s about morality. He showed how everything has been going downhill since 1971 when we left the gold standard. Increased suicide rates, mental health issues, divorces, food quality declining. The fiat system is literally destroying humanity. If this doesn’t orange pill a ton of people I don’t know what will.
Jack Kruse connecting Bitcoin sovereignty to health sovereignty was fascinating. Tristan Scott calling out how technology is slowly killing us also resonated hard.
And obviously great to see saylor (nprofile…qdk9) to cap it off. Bullish is an understatement 🐂
Met loads of people actually living on Bitcoin and building the circular economy. Plus I’ve only used BTC for the past 3 days (don’t worry saylor (nprofile…qdk9) I’ll buy it back)
Prague Bitcoin community is something special.
