An aspect of the #CripTax I have not encountered before is insurance companies being balky about even giving you a quote on insuring a van with a wheelchair lift.
They want to know the weight, they're *telling* me it's a commercial van when it's not, etc. etc.
Disabled people are so policed and crip taxed to death.
I'm fortunate that I do not yet need to use a wheelchair. I was just trying to prepare for the trajectory UC Davis' ableism has given my life.
