One of the most interesting side effects of Wegovy is that I'm enjoying food MORE, not less, which is not what I expected.
Flavours seem much more intense and I enjoy what I'm eating enormously, but I only need 4-5 mouthfuls and that's enough of eating for that meal.
I had some leftover roast chicken for dinner last night and the intensity of the mouthfeel literally knocked me over — I had to go lie flat on my back for a bit (to avoid puking, which is still ongoing).
I had been worried that taking Wegovy would mean losing interest in food; without that, who even am I? I'm such a foodie person by nature. So I am hugely relieved that I can still eat and enjoy food, just not much of it.
