Peter Hughson who lived around Greymouth and might be on your radar as a carver is apparently the primary source behind the idea that you can feed chickens coprosma berries for a great deal of the year.
It's a long shot, but do you think there might be a formal or semi-formal source beyond a credited hearsay in a periodical from the 1970's that took me months to track down? 😅
