Based on Disney's track record of not only their Star Wars property but also Marvel are the reasons why I have no faith in Disney's KOTORs. More so with KOTOR 2 specifically because it deals with a lot of nuance and complex topics that requires fine precision to grasp it. I dont even think Disney is even capable of understanding them.
I would highly encourage experiencing the games first or even a Lets Play of them if you cant mesh with it's gameplay. If you're interested in the latter then I personally suggest these for both games.
