I loosely use the Bullet Journal thing, which is of course just glorified list making. I did like the point of... if you keep transferring that note, then maybe you aren't going to do it, so just put a line through it.
I do keep lists of stuff I am not actively working towards too though, just to have it somewhere I can flick through in case I need that idea at some point.
