For the sake of #nuance, there is a non-trivial number of cultures and communities which are matriarchal.
But, I think it’s the “norm” for the mainstream worldview everyone alive has grown up living and breathing and which exercises power and influence (desired or not) over people’s lives.
I would like for there to be a better way.
