XIII has shit writing and the gameplay is lacking, although trying to stretch 3x DPS as far as you can before changing paradigm to a healer is okay. The graphics are good for PS3 era, and the music is fine as well. The writing is just really bad. They try to do a "show don't tell", but I really felt like some explanation about how the world and, well, everything is supposed to be structured before getting thrown into it.
Funnily enough, the main characters are all kinda like Chosen Undead from the Souls games, now that I think about it.
