Why hardened Bitcoiners see such a dystopian future? If the transition towards a Bitcoin standard involves a complete collapse of the world economy, emergence of surveillance states, population controls, war and famine then we will all become forced sellers and Bitcoin will fail. Bitcoin must first be embraced by governments due to its network effect/mass adoption leaving them no choice, be fully integrated in our financial system and then reprice all assets over time.
