AFAIK dental insurance is a scam, sort of like cancer insurance
in fact, a dentist once told me it was a scam & while that might have been self serving, it does seem like they don't really take dental insurance... they do offer financing but lower income people would still have to qualify & how?
they used to tell people to try to get an appt at LSU Dental School, but the waiting list used to be impractical when i was young & poor, i doubt it's better now
