In time of crisis we rally behind the president. We want the president to be perfect so that's what we see.
All Trump had to do is appear to be taking COVID seriously, not denying it and openly lying about it, but that's the only mode he does.
He could have cruised into a landslide win in 2020 if he had the slightest idea how politics works.
