⚡LIGHTNING NETWORK ZAPS AND WALLETS WITH NIP57 ⚡
1) WHAT THE HELL IS A ZAP
So basically what Zaps are, are a LN tip with an 'event' added to them.
Easiest example I can come up with is if you tip, nothing is recorded on Nostr. You just did a P2P transaction with another user.
If you 'Zap', the client you're using (in my case Amethyst) can show who tipped what post & for how much and that amount will be compiled with all of the other tips you might have received on the note you posted so you can see how well a note that you created was received.
Another cool thing you could do, in theory, with Zaps is combine 'Zaps' with 'Likes' & a user could receive a set amount of sats every time you hit the like button on their note.
2) HOW TO IMPLEMENT ZAPS
!FIRST and most important: you need a STATIC LIGHTNING NETWORK ADDRESS!
- You have STRIKE? Super easy, just put " YourUsername@strike.army " in your profile setup URL for lightning and you are zappable!
- Get one with Wallet of Satoshi (custodial wallet), very easy (mine is wrigglypie41@walletofsatoshi.com) and get zapped some sats:

Set it up and copy / paste your LN address in your Nostr profile.
-NIP-57 support? In the telegram channel with the bot type: /nostr add <your_pubkey>
- Want to link the tipbot with BlueWallet? Type /link in the Telegram bot channel after having it setup. Scan the QR in BlueWallet -> import wallet. Ready, set, go! ⚡⚡
If you want the zaps to appear under your posts:
- Go to LightningTipBot. Enter "/help" if you don't know your Lightning address.
- See your address? Mine is intuitiveguy@ln.tips
- Optional: Enter "/advanced" to get an anonymous address if you don't want to doxx your Telegram username.
- Put your Lightning address into your nostr profile
- In LightningTipBot, register your nostr pubkey with "/nostr add <your_pubkey>"
- You're done! You'll receive zaps and they will be shown under your zapped posts! ⚡⚡
