So, apparently theguyswann@iris.to is not aware that Bitcoin Core no longer runs any mining code since several years now. Why would he?
It's also not surprising very few of the BTC OGs seems to see the ordinal-driven clogging of the network as anything more than a minor inconvenience, bc again, why would they? They have access to ASICS and low fee exchanges.
Me? I want to mine, I cant afford an ASIC but I have CPU power to waste on some unprofitable/humble solo-hash... But I cant.
Me? I want to withdraw my insignificant amount of sats off the exchange, but economically I can´t bc the exchange charges me the full fee per tx and I have no other exchange option.
It's not surprising to learn that everyone let the core devs shit all over the Bitcoin code, because of course, they didn't came after them with their changes, so why would they care?
Me? I think Bitcoin will prevail against this roundabout attack against the unprivileged. But I do think its an attack.
