One of my favorite episodes of ST:TNG, S2E15, "Pen Pals", has a moment where Riker asks Picard, "where would you say we are now, sir?" and Picard gestures at his jaw, as if indicating the level of the shit they are in. Later in the episode, as the stakes escalate, Riker repeats the question, and in reply, Picard does one of the funniest things I've seen on television, and deadpans indicating a spot just above his eyebrows.
