If you’re not from the Midwest, few things will prepare you for this part of summer.
I am of course referring to corn season.
We have early access to corn before it lands in grocery stores, such as buying it from a farmer’s truck. But many people also have corn connections.
Corn becomes a form of currency.
If you think a Midwestern standoff at a 4-way intersection is bad, you haven’t seen a gathering where everyone shows up with corn to distribute to everyone else.
