When my middle one was going to day care, which was a very small, private, well-run, local facility free of government intervention (at the time), they had some good ideas. I picked one up.
2 glass jars: one empty, one filled with big white beans.
you place it in front of your little one and show you can drop a bean from one jar to another
kids like it, it's fun, makes sounds, you can do it for a long time, all natural ingredients and it trains the kids grasp in the hand and precision
just watch so the beans don't go too far into the nose 😅
