I have to say I'm very unconvinced that it's a good idea to let Meta join this party. A massive commercial player with a proven record of screwing over their customers.
I came here in order to be as far away from the malarkey of Meta and Musk as possible. Their presence changes the nature of a space. Even the mass migration from Twitter last year changed this space and I'm still wasting time blocking random bollicky spam accounts.
