A liturgical comb that once belonged to Saint Heribert (970 – 1021). He was Archbishop of Cologne (Köln) and considered a saint already in his lifetime. Pope Gregory VII canonized him in 1074 AD.
This crucifixion comb was made in the second half of 9th Century AD, and is now exhibited in Köln’s Schnütgen Museum.
