I was actually misinterpreting what the standard ImageWriter driver was doing - Print Shop Pro Deluxe has a built-in halftoning algorithm that works quite well, the problem is what is actually happening is that it's just plain old skipping the first RandomInt(1,4) pages of the printout and starting halfway in - my first attempt it just skipped the first page which had a graphic on it, but on my second try it started halfway into the text. Super weird!!
