MPs should no longer be able to claim their utility bills for a single property either in London or their constituency as part of their expenses towards maintaining a second home for work.
It would be consistent and appropriate for MPs to share the pain with pensioners. And if they aren't willing to do that the Government should drop plans to scrap the Winter Fuel Allowance, and increase wealth taxes ... and the windfall tax on energy companies.
