I had several people in my life that either hurt themselves or harmed their lives right in front of me just to deny me being right. I mean i had a woman burn her hand on an espresso machine in front of me and insisting she didn't because i told her it would happen and i even pointed out what not to do and why. I had a former friend who got a shady pre greek crash loan that basically wrecked his life since he couldn't repay it just because i literally proved to him he can't repay it. People hate those who figure out the truth with ease and offer streamlined explanation of it because they realize they are idiot helots worthy only of serving better men but this system (democracy) has been enabling them to pretend to be "equals" since ancient Athens. You're God damned right they'd rather die than admit the truth.
And THIS is what Christianity means with humility as a virtue and pride as a sin. See my friends?RT:

Many (most?) would rather die than face anything close to the truth
I’m sure there are certain things in my life where I have the same aversion, but it does not dominate my thinking in every part of my life
