If it's anything like bruxism, it can be painful and destructive to your teeth, while causing headaches and potentially broken teeth problems. In some cases you can crack a molar while you sleep. The next day you have neck pain, perhaps swollen gums, and of course those lovely headaches to go with it.
A few things that can help:
Find a good magnesium and take sufficient amounts of it. You might need other supplements to go with it. If you haven't taken much magnesium before, then it might send you to the toilet a little more often until your system gets used to it, totally normal.
Lookup tooth brackets, or retainers for bruxism. Get one and wear it every night. This will save your teeth, and reduce the headaches. They look similar to Invisalign, just more robust.
The jaw exercises can help a lot. It's also good to gently stretch your jaw by holding it lower and slightly forward. Do this everytime you feel stressed, even if it does feel a bit goofy.
It often hits worst when you are short on sleep. Thankfully babies do grow up.
Take care, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you!
