My very minor and inconsequential pet peeve right now is that we use the word spyware for both government-level surveillance tools and spousal abuse tools. And don't get me wrong, it's all spying, I get it and don't blame anyone who uses it because I don't have a great alternative. But the Venn diagram isn't a perfect circle, there are important differences, and I wish our language could easily reflect that
