1/3 A tale of two Pauillacs, which demonstrates why it can be hard to evaluate young wines on release.

The '89s didn't always thrill tasters early on. The wines were harder, leaner, seemed very tight. It wasn't that modern vibe. It was a style,my style(!), that just needed more time.When they finally began to blossom, they showed increasingly well.
