Got Vivado installed in NixOS on a virtual machine (guest is Ubuntu), with USB passthrough for communicating - and I could see my development board in my VM.
Shared folder works too, so I can move files between the two. Hooray hooray, all looks well!
Although it would be better to do without the VM, I wanted it up and running quickly (before spending an unlimited amount of time trying to figure out what I was doing wrong with Nix...) #nix #nixos
