As far as food assistance programs go, 70% of people that use them work full time. The child tax credit that was passed by the left unilaterally to assist working people with things like rent and utilities and lifted 3 million children above the poverty line was blocked by the right on a short margin from being extended. Minimum wage increases the left fought for? Again. Blocked by the right by a short margin. I could go on forever. The right dosent give af about working class people. It's the left that fight for them. But Congress is so hard to get actual helpful policies through without the 60 votes. It sucks. But the left not only cares, they act. Can the right say the same on all of those issues? I dont think so.
