Genuinely can't decide if I'm doing something right or something wrong

20K views in 9 months, plenty of very kind comments and yet still only 435 subs and only half the 3000 hours annual watch time to get the first tier monetisation (which means I wont be able to monetise when I hit 500)
I guess this is the price I pay (literally) for just posting what I want to post and not trying to be a 'youtuber'.
