This is because communism is seen as a "perfect" ideology. It cannot fail, but it can *be* failed. If a Communist country fails, it's because the practitioners didn't believe in the ideology hard enough.

As for Capitalism, it is true that it has brought unprecedented prosperity to the world, but it has proven to be spiritually cancerous. Capitalism does not care about spiritual concerns, for those cannot be plotted on a graph. It only cares about the generation of wealth, and it does not care how it is done. People can produce the most depraved pornography, they can ingest the most intoxicating drugs, they can indulge in the most degenerate acts imaginable. As long as wealth is created from those activities, capitalism is satisfied.

Capitalism has turned the sin of greed into a virtue. It has implicitly taught people that the highest goal in life is the acquisition of material wealth and the consumption of products. It has created a society where a man's worth is determined by how much money he makes and how many products he owns. Those who are poor in Capitalist society become anxious and depressed because those material goals are out of their reach. Furthermore, the top players in Capitalist society, the multinational corporations, keep creating new products, then trick the masses into believing they need to own them lest they be seen as low class. The Capitalist system demands wealth generation at all costs, and those who reject this system, those who refuse to buy the latest products, those who are self-sufficient and live off the grid, are seen as an existential threat.

Capitalism has created a thousand useless luxuries and turned them into necessities. It has created a thousand cravings and satisfies none of them. It has dethroned God and put a shekel in His place.

The world needs a third option, one that lifts man out of squalor but also fills him with virtue, one that puts God above money.
