What's a good word to use instead of "housekeeping" to describe those necessary but mostly unrewarded and unacknowledged tasks that happen on a project?
"Housekeeping" captures it, but it reeks of sexism:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Housekeeping#Social_significance"Administrivia" doesn't capture it either, because most of this stuff is the work itself, or work to enable work. It's not planning and reporting.
Any ideas?
