I *did* try a bit of syougi on the side recently. My current feelings are as follows:
- Amusing
- Don't like the re-placing of captured pieces. Feels like that thing we did as kids making up rules to a made up game. "Nuh-uh, 'cause my piece goes here and immediately threatens your good piece!"
- Kinda get how to be defensive, not yet worked out how to go on offensive
