Due to the historical reasons that we all ended up here, it would take a lot to convince me that anyone on fedi is more retarded than someone not on fedi.
I'm sorrry I can't put it better, but the confluence of events that led us all to connect makes me hold y'all in higher regard than any retard I may come across elsewhere on the Internet in the next decade.
