Glorious sunshine
Bright blue, and clear
Warm, edgy air
Shimmering woods
Snow-blossomed roads
Hedges heavy with hawthorn
There's a fox about,
Bothering the blackbirds
Six geese, wings singing,
Swallows cut the air
So close to me
Their streaming feathers
Hush like little rivers
I saw the golden Curlew
On the moor,
And a roe deer, handsome
by the shining lake
