Simurgh Bakery in Emeryville always surprises me with how seriously they take their ‘from scratch’ Turkish food and breads. Pide that is at once fluffy and also chewy. Turkish Delight that tastes like actual roses and has excellent texture. Baklava that is one of the best here. Kebabs made of brisket. Vegan stuff made there too. Wonderful simit (a large sesame bagel). Such a fan! I also love their sandwiches and plates. And the breakfast is great
