personally Wind energy never made sense to me. none. but i feel no need to attack it because i am not a 60 IQ Boomer who thinks he is winning the special Olympics while reposting retarded memes on Facebook.
all the energy on earth comes from the sun ( fusion ) or geothermal from the core ( fission ) but that is hard to tap without digging VERY deep.
solar is a no brainer to me - you directly harness the main energy source on earth, which will be available for as long as earth is inhabitable. when the sun goes we go too, so for all intents and purposes that energy source is inexhaustible.
solar is also available anywhere humans live, because few people live in places where the sun doesn't rise ( like in the polar circle in winter ).
all you need is to be able to store it overnight but that's not hard.
the reason Wind Turbines exist is IMO just optics. same as masks during the pandemic. they want something IN YOUR FACE. they put wind turbines next to a highway or a beach and it makes little kids ask "what is that" and then the parents have to explain how evil old white men invented CO2 and so on ...
