Between the geriatric ruling class, the abuse of psychology to oppress dissidents, the secret police arresting people over "conspiracy" to commit crimes, and state lying to our faces about the price of everyday goods, it's begin to feel a lot like the late stage Soviet Union in America. Of course, this shouldn't be too surprising as many of the "Russian Americans" that work in our government are the literal grandchildren of Bolsheviks.
