"content": "This week I've been mainly reading, no. 179.\n\nSinead Gleeson's Hagstone (2024) starts as a story of artistic creation, becomes a tale of betrayal \u0026 then gets quite gothic horror like in the final third. Its engaging \u0026 other than a slightly inconsistent switching of narration from the key/central character and a slightly oddly played (unclearly conceived?) mystical aspect,\nit is an engaging read that will make you want to visit the Northernmost isles of the UK. \n\n#gothic #books \nnostr:npub1ny7qwqnkw6pg4m0uegzrdzwrckapzq7v7zku9p28hgv5aflvg8fq7zuv57",
