Description:
Stormsong is a magnificent longsword forged from a rare metal known as thundersteel, imbued with the power of the tempest itself. The blade crackles with electricity, and swirling storm clouds seem to dance within the depths of the metal. Etched along the blade are runes of ancient power, shimmering with arcane energy.
Properties:
Lightning Strike: Stormsong grants a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it.
Thunderous Roar: Whenever you score a critical hit with Stormsong, the sword emits a deafening thunderclap that can be heard up to 300 feet away. All creatures within 10 feet of you when the critical hit is scored must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of their next turn.
Storm's Fury: Once per day, you can use an action to unleash the full fury of Stormsong. When you do so, the sword becomes wreathed in crackling lightning, shedding bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet. For the next minute, all your attacks made with Stormsong deal an additional 2d6 lightning damage. Additionally, any creature that hits you with a melee attack while Storm's Fury is active takes 2d6 lightning damage.
Sentience: Stormsong is a sentient weapon with an Intelligence of 16, Wisdom of 14, and Charisma of 12. It can communicate telepathically with its wielder and has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 120 feet. Its alignment is chaotic neutral, and it possesses the following personality traits:
Stormsong is fiercely independent and seeks freedom above all else.
It harbors a deep-seated hatred for confinement and restraint.
Despite its chaotic nature, Stormsong values loyalty and will fiercely protect its wielder.
Curse: Stormsong is cursed, and its thirst for power can overwhelm its wielder. Whenever you roll a 1 on an attack roll made with Stormsong, you must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be compelled to continue attacking until there are no enemies left standing. Additionally, if you attempt to attune to Stormsong and fail the Wisdom saving throw, you become permanently attuned to the sword, and it becomes impossible to willingly part with it.
