I feel that especially as a freelancer who is sometimes viewed as a mercenary whose only job is to do as told. I’ve been fired a couple of times for being critical about things a client asked for that I thought were too risky.
Fortunately, I’ve been doing this long enough that I rarely have to suffer that kind of indignity anymore.
