It's kinda crazy how I can talk with multiple people from all over the world online at the same time for practically free via hi-fi VoIP combined with body language over VR motion tracking or video...
... but if I were to call any one of them internationally on the phone the costs would be stupidly high for a low-fi voice call.
I'm not sure how telephone call prices justify themselves in this modern environment.
