They intubate you and you have a pretty good chance of getting hospital acquired pneumonia. Do that to enough 60-80 year olds and you're going to start racking up the kills.
Ironically, this dude suffered a completely different malady to me, but ended up in the exact same place - even down to the pneumonia and ECMO machine.
