- manufacturing line control systems: Muppets!
- lab equipment control systems: Fictional Butlers!
- switches: Crayola Crayon colours
- one batch of dev systems were characters from Fringe, one of my favourite TV shows
- our primary large shared build system is "atrium"
- our lab firewall is "centrum"
- a pair of CI workers: sock & buskin
