I have a slightly different strategy.
Our hot tub is set to heat between 6am and 4pm because the control I have is limited, and I want to avoid heating after 4pm when the prices spike.
My scheduler charges the battery prior to 6am at the cheapest rates on Octopus Agile during the night, which then gets dumped into the hot tub at 6am.
