I am watching the recording of the CBC/NPR joint cross country radio/TV broadcast where they asked “ What do you think of Trump’s comments about Canada becoming the 51st State”.
It is quite riveting.
The first caller they had was a woman from Victoria BC was literally worried about a Trump invading. The 2nd Canadian is talking about the lack of world leaders standing up for us.
There has been no one speaking in “support” of course but I think what is most telling is the NPR host clearly doesn’t think Trump is serious… this is echoed by the US callers.
I think he is surprised by how passionate and upset the Canadian callers are.
This is good for Americans to hear! This show needed to happen! (And Ian also acknowledged the big backlash to the initial question, they agreed and changed it, but felt it important to do the show)
