It is really "annoying", but do you think there is another option truely ? You can use another social network that promise things and do the opposite in your back. Or use other "open" alternatives like mastodon or nostr. But finally, do you think it will avoid "them" to get all the content from "open" alternatives ? There is no solution here for anyone public content (using open or close social media). The only solution is private talk if you really want to be sure they will not use it.
